This site offers the latest McDonald's menu and pricing info, but isn't officially affiliated with them.
McDonald's specials sit in four places: the McValue menu, app-only offers, rewards points and rotating regional promotions. Knowing which is which is most of the saving.
The permanent McDonald's specials are the McValue menu: Under $3 items, Meal Deals from $5, a $4 breakfast deal, and Buy One Add One for $1. Everything else rotates weekly through the app and varies by restaurant.
McDonald's specials changed shape in January 2025, when McValue replaced the old Dollar Menu. There is no printed coupon sheet any more. McDonald's deals are spread across the menu board, the app, a rewards programme and franchisee-level promotions, and the same deal can cost different amounts two towns apart. This page sets out the permanent McDonald's specials first, since that is what stays true, then covers the rotating offers and how to find today's. Full pricing is on our McDonald's menu with prices, and calorie figures on the McDonald's calorie list.
Some McDonald's specials are permanent fixtures and some change weekly. The table below separates the two, because that distinction is the single most useful thing to understand about McDonald's specials.
App offers rotate weekly and differ between restaurants in the same city. We update this panel when a major national promotion launches; for day-to-day deals the app is the only reliable source.

McValue launched nationwide in January 2025, replacing the $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu as the home of McDonald's deals. It is not a single price point but a group of four structures, and they work differently from each other.
| PART OF McVALUE | HOW IT WORKS | BEST FOR | CATCH |
|---|---|---|---|
Under $3Individual items, no bundling needed | Single items | A quick snack | Excludes delivery |
Meal Deals from $5Fixed bundle, choice of sandwich | Bundles | A full meal | "From" is doing work |
Buy One, Add One for $1Mix and match across the list | Add-on | Two people | Equal or lesser value |
App-exclusive dealsRequires a rewards account | Digital | Regular visits | Must opt in |

The second item has to be of equal or lesser value, and delivery orders are excluded. It runs at breakfast and at lunch and dinner with different item lists. Pick the more expensive item first, since the discount applies to the second.
These two are worth knowing by heart. Both bundle items that would cost considerably more bought separately.

The $4 breakfast deal only runs during breakfast hours, which typically end at 10:30am on weekdays and 11:00am at weekends. Cut-off times vary by restaurant — our McDonald's breakfast hours page has the detail.
McDonald's app deals are where most of the real saving sits now. Rewards earns 100 points per eligible dollar and redemptions start at 1,500 points, which means around fifteen dollars of spending before your first free item.
| OFFER TYPE | TYPICAL VALUE | HOW OFTEN | NOTE |

1,500 points from $15 of spending buys an item worth around $2. That is a modest return by loyalty programme standards, so rewards are best treated as a small bonus on top of the McValue menu rather than a saving strategy in themselves.
A few things consistently cost people money on McDonald's specials, and a few consistently save it. None of them require any effort beyond ordering in the right place.

McDonald's specials, prices and participation vary by restaurant and change frequently. Bundle prices advertised as "from" a figure are starting prices, not guaranteed local prices. Comparison savings are calculated against our national midpoint à la carte prices recorded in August 2026. Always confirm in the McDonald's app with your restaurant selected. Full pricing is on our McDonald's menu with prices, and Happy Meal pricing on its own page.
The permanent McDonald's specials are the McValue menu: Under $3 items, Meal Deals from $5, a $4 breakfast deal and Buy One Add One for $1. Weekly app offers are personalised to your account and restaurant, so open the Deals tab in the app to see yours.
Sometimes. McDonald's advertises Meal Deals "from $5" because franchisees set their own prices, and the same bundle runs closer to $6 in many markets. Check the app with your restaurant selected before assuming.
It was replaced by McValue in January 2025 and is not coming back. The nearest equivalent now is the Under $3 selection, which carries around ten items across breakfast and later-day menus.
You buy one eligible item and add a second for a dollar. The second must be of equal or lesser value, so pick the more expensive item first. It runs at breakfast and at lunch and dinner with different lists, and excludes delivery.
Often, but they are unpredictable. App offers are personalised and rotate weekly, so they cannot be planned around. The McValue menu is the reliable baseline; treat app offers as a bonus when one happens to suit your order.
1,500, earned at 100 points per eligible dollar — so around fifteen dollars of spending for an item worth roughly two. That is about a 1.5 percent return, which makes rewards a small bonus rather than a saving strategy.
Usually not. Most McValue offers including Under $3 and Buy One Add One exclude delivery. If a deal matters, collect in person or use the app for pickup.
No. Offers must be applied before payment and cannot be added retroactively. At the drive-thru, mention the app offer before ordering rather than after — staff cannot refund and re-ring the order.
Because they are personalised by account and tied to your selected restaurant. Franchisees set their own promotions, so two McDonald's in the same city can show different deals. Switching your selected restaurant in the app changes what you see.
Prices shown are based on typical U.S. McDonald’s menu prices as of August 2026 and may vary by location. Check your local restaurant or McDonald’s app for the latest prices.
Priya has tracked fast food pricing since 2019. Every figure on this page comes from our own field survey: eight researchers photograph restaurant menu boards at 62 locations across 14 states in the first week of each month, and we publish the median. We do not use app pricing, which runs higher, and we do not carry figures forward from a previous month without re-checking them.
