Breakfast ends at 10:30am Monday to Friday and 11:00am on Saturday and Sunday at the large majority of US restaurants. That cutoff is a kitchen changeover, not a soft deadline: the grill switches over to lunch product and every item on the breakfast board becomes unavailable at once, including hash browns. Apple slices come as standard rather than as a substitution, which is a change from how the Happy Meal was sold before 2012.
More flexible than the board suggests. Kids fries can be swapped for a second portion of apple slices at no charge, and the drink range covers seven options at the same price. What you cannot do is substitute the main for something off the regular menu, so a McChicken Happy Meal is not possible even though the sandwich costs less than some of the boxes.

The December 2025 Grinch Meal is the most recent US example and the largest.
