A regular Oreo McFlurry is 410 calories at around $5.59, and the Mini is roughly half that. Only two flavours are permanent on the US menu — everything else is seasonal.
A McFlurry is vanilla reduced-fat soft serve blended with cookie or candy pieces. The regular Oreo version is 410 calories and the M&M's 570. Two sizes are sold, Mini and Regular, at roughly $3.19 and $5.59.
Only two flavours sit on the permanent US dessert menu: Oreo and M&M's. Everything else you may have seen — Shamrock, S'mores, Grandma, Stroopwafel — has been a limited run or a flavour from another country. McDonald's also changed the packaging and the spoon in late 2025, which is why the one you get now looks different from the one you remember. This page covers every flavour and which are real today, both sizes side by side, the calories, the price and what actually goes in it. Full dessert pricing is on our McDonald's desserts menu, and the full board is on the McDonald's menu with prices.
Two, on the permanent US menu. Oreo and M&M's. Every other flavour people search for is either a limited-time run that has ended, a seasonal item, or something sold in another country entirely.

A McFlurry is vanilla reduced-fat ice cream with cookie or candy pieces blended through it. The base is the same for every flavour; the topping is what moves the calorie count, and it moves it a lot.

A single spindle mixes every McFlurry, so traces of one topping can reach another. That makes the dessert station the highest cross-contact point on the menu, and it is worth knowing about if you have a nut allergy. Our McDonald's allergen menu covers this in detail.
Around $5.59 for a regular and $3.19 for a Mini at our national midpoint. Franchisees set their own board and the spread on desserts is wider than on most items, so expect anywhere from about $2.99 to $6.19 depending on where you are.

If the spoon looks different from the one you remember, you are right. McDonald's replaced the famous hollow-handled McFlurry spoon in late 2025 with the standard sundae spoon, and moved the mixing job to a reusable spindle.

A Canadian franchisee named Ron McLellan invented it in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and the first one sold on 7 June 1995. It was Oreo, which is still the best seller thirty years later. The US got it in 1997 as a test and nationwide by March 1998. The original American line-up was Oreo, Heath, Nestlé Crunch, M&M's and Butterfinger — three of those five are long gone. Prices are a national midpoint recorded from restaurant menu boards in August 2026 and vary by location. Regular size calorie figures are McDonald's published US data; Mini figures are calculated approximations. Contains milk and soy, and the Oreo version contains wheat. Around $5.59 for a regular and $3.19 for a Mini at the national midpoint. The spread runs from about $2.99 to $6.19 because franchisees set their own dessert pricing.
410 for a regular Oreo and 570 for a regular M&M's. The Mini is roughly half each. Older guides quote 510 and 640, which predate the packaging change in late 2025.
Oreo and M&M's on the permanent US menu. Shamrock appears seasonally, and McDonald's rotates limited flavours through periodically. Grandma, Stroopwafel and S'mores have all ended; KitKat is sold overseas but never in the US.
Vanilla reduced-fat soft serve with cookie or candy pieces blended through it using a spindle. It is thicker than a milkshake and creamier than a sundae. A Canadian franchisee invented it in 1995.
The Mini McFlurry is about half the size for roughly 57% of the price, so the regular is better value per spoonful. But a regular Oreo carries 39g of added sugar in one cup, so the Mini McFlurry is the sensible order if you are watching either calories or sugar.
Roughly 210 for Oreo and 290 for M&M's. Those are calculated at about half the regular size rather than official published figures, so check the app if you need exact numbers.
To cut single-use plastic. The old hollow-handled spoon doubled as the blender spindle, which is why it was awkward to eat with. McDonald's now uses a reusable spindle cleaned between orders, and gives you the standard sundae spoon.
About $5.59 regular and $3.19 Mini. It is the same price as the M&M's version despite carrying 160 fewer calories, which makes Oreo the better pick if you want the lighter option at the same cost.
Vanilla reduced-fat ice cream plus the mix-in. It contains milk and soy, and the Oreo version also contains wheat. The dessert station shares one spindle across all flavours, so cross-contact is a real consideration — see our allergen menu.
The M&M's version comes close at 570 against a Big Mac's 590. The Oreo at 410 sits well below. A vanilla cone is 200 if you want the same soft serve for far less.
Prices shown are based on typical U.S. McDonald’s menu prices as of August 2026 and may vary by location. Check your local restaurant or McDonald’s app for the latest prices.
Priya has tracked fast food pricing since 2019. Every figure on this page comes from our own field survey: eight researchers photograph restaurant menu boards at 62 locations across 14 states in the first week of each month, and we publish the median. We do not use app pricing, which runs higher, and we do not carry figures forward from a previous month without re-checking them.
