Every McDonald’s item in the USA with complete nutrition data in one sortable table. Unlike a standard nutrition database, this chart also carries the current price of each item, which lets you see calories and protein per dollar alongside the raw numbers. For prices without the nutrition detail, the full board is on our McDonald’s menu with prices.

Every item on the US menu with calories, protein, fat, carbohydrate and sodium, grouped by category and sorted by calories within each. All figures apply to the standard build at the size shown. Protein rankings across the McDonald's menu

Ranked by total protein, with protein per 100 calories alongside so you can see which items deliver protein efficiently rather than simply arriving with a lot of everything. The 20 piece McNuggets tops both measures, and a plain McChicken is the weakest protein source of any sandwich on the menu despite being sold as a chicken product.

Sodium, sugar and carbohydrate rankings

The FDA recommends under 2,300mg of sodium a day. A single Big Breakfast with Hotcakes accounts for 90 percent of that before you add a drink. Sugar runs highest in shakes and McFlurries rather than sodas, and the carbohydrate leader is Hotcakes at 101g, which is more than any burger, fries and drink combined.

Building a McDonald's meal under 500 calories

Entirely possible, and it does not require ordering a salad. The trick is that the drink and the side carry more of the total than most people assume: a medium fries and medium Coca-Cola together are 530 calories before the sandwich arrives. Swap both and the sandwich choice opens right up

How combo meals change the numbers

A standard combo adds medium fries and a medium drink, which is 530 calories on top of whatever sandwich you picked. That is more than the sandwich itself in most cases. Upgrading to large adds a further 250. The table shows the full totals with a medium Coca-Cola, which is the default assumption most calorie counts miss.

Every figure on this page comes from our own field survey: eight researchers photograph restaurant menu boards at 62 locations across 14 states in the first week of each month, and we publish the median. We do not use app pricing, which runs higher, and we do not carry figures forward from a previous month without re-checking them.
